Launched just 15 years ago, Travelscope is now one of the UKs largest independent tour operators. It has also established itself as a major employer, with an annual turnover last year of 55 million, and passenger carryings this year expected to reach 200,000.
Now with a huge portfolio of holidays, most of which are featured on this website, we hope to continue to serve our customers throughout the U.K. from our base in Gloucestershire.
February 2006 saw us complete a £5.6 million relocation to state-of-the-art headquarters in the prestigious Gloucester Business Park, further enhancing our reputation as one of the UKs top independent tour operators, and culminating in us being voted Best Place to Work in Gloucestershire at the 2006 Cotswold Life Business Awards. The award was made following a vote by a panel of judges for the Cotswold Life Magazine. The pleasant working environment, opportunity to travel and close-knit feeling amongst staff were listed as reasons that contributed to the win.
Our brand new three-storey landmark building features open-plan offices, an expanded call centre with longer opening hours and a futuristic reception atrium with booking facility, all helping our award-winning team provide an even better service.
Here in Gloucestershire we employ 180 staff. Every aspect of our business from the creation and operation of our outstanding portfolio of holiday ideas, through the design of our brochures, liaison with our newspaper partners and the handling of bookings in our call centre takes place here. Because of this we employ a wide variety of people with their own particular skills, strengths and experience.
